Here are some great financial resources I’ve come across on the Web lately.
If you’ve ever wanted to get started in trading commodities, Commodity Trading Information has a great post on commodity trading basics. Commodities are essentially tangible items that you can invest in, similar to how you invest in stocks or mutual funds, except with commodities you’re investing in the future performance and prices of items like grain, oil, precious metals and cotton.
Ricky Develo put up a great Hub on Roth IRAs. If you’re looking for some basic info on starting or planning for a Roth IRA, give that a read. He discusses the best places to put your money, choosing your investments, and the advantages to using a Roth to plan for retirement, as well as the basic rules and guidelines that you need to know.
If you’ve been interested in trying your hand at day trading or buying penny stocks, Buying Penny Stocks.com has some good information on the subject. I’ve never gotten into day trading, although Greg has, and he tells me that it can be quite exciting but it’s probably not for the faint of heart.
Warren Buffet Stock Picks.com put up some great Warren Buffet stock picks recently. I don’t think these are picks straight from the master himself, but rather a student of Buffet following his methodology and strategies. In any case, it definitely makes for some interesting reading and is sure to improve your stock portfolio.
Another great Hub I came across recently, Engine102 published a guide to annuity rates. This has some great information on deciphering the confusing world of annuities, which are in all seriousness some of the hardest financial products to understand. If you have money in an annuity or are thinking about putting some money into one, check that Hub out for some good info.
